What to expect

Your Drakensberg wedding.

Making the mountains part of your story

We love using the scale of the Berg: the two of you small against the peaks, and close, emotional portraits too. Many lodges have beautiful viewpoints just a short walk from the ceremony, so you don't need to go far.

Sunset light on the mountains can be magical. We'll plan your portrait time so you're in the right place when it happens.

Mountain weather and weekend weddings

Weather in the Berg can change quickly. Summer afternoons often bring storms, and winter brings cold nights and sometimes snow on the peaks. We always have a sheltered plan, and we'll keep an eye on the forecast with you in the days before.

Because the Drakensberg is a destination, many couples celebrate over a weekend. If you'd like us there for a welcome dinner or the morning after, mention it when you enquire. We'll talk through travel and accommodation in your quote.

Coverage for your Berg wedding

From getting ready to the dance floor, we capture the whole day. Add a wedding film to hear your vows with the mountains behind you.

Our full-day wedding packages run from R18 500 to R38 000. Essence, our full-day photography package, starts at R18 500; Story (photo + film) is R24 500 and Relive (photo + film) is R38 000.

Questions couples ask

Good to know.

Do you photograph weddings in the Drakensberg?

Yes. We service the Drakensberg, including Champagne Valley, Cathedral Peak, the northern Berg and the Southern Drakensberg.

What's the best season for a Drakensberg wedding?

Autumn (March to May) is a favourite: settled weather, fewer storms and soft golden light. Winter is dramatic and clear but cold, and summer is green with afternoon storms.

Can you cover a weekend wedding?

Yes. Tell us about your weekend plans when you enquire, and we'll suggest coverage for the extra moments you want remembered.

Is your date still open?

Share your date, venue and plans, and we'll send you a clear quote.
